When researchers carried out a necropsy, they found a large amount of garbage in its stomach, including more than 20 plastic bags, small towels, surgical gloves, sweat pants, plastic pieces, duct tape, and a golf ball. It seems we are doomed to smother in our own garbage; such a shame that we have to bring the rest of the earth's creatures with us. What's happening in Detroit sounds hopeful, but I fear it is too little, too late for our poor planet.

In case you didn't notice, I am extremely pessimistic about the future.Tessahttp://www.nutsandmutton.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14874528.post-70882733806579473652010-04-23T11:35:24.535-02:302010-04-23T11:35:24.535-02:30Thanks for the mention, WWW!

It seems as though that mythical spring really is at the bottom and provides a lift when we reach nadir and things get bad enough. Sad that we have to let things go that far before we take notice though. Still...good news is good news.
:-)Twilighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14138621610593773784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14874528.post-773684691771523332010-04-23T05:03:18.798-02:302010-04-23T05:03:18.798-02:30Kurt Vonnegut's quote says it all. As you know, I've never been a "consumer", I've always been as thrifty and resource-conscious as I can, though nothing like as conscientious as you. What's happening in Detroit is most inspiring, if only there were thousands of initiatives like that.nickhttp://nickhereandnow.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.com
