I am grateful to her, still, 30 years later, for otherwise I might never have had CBC Radio in my life. It has coloured many hours of solitude with fascinating conversations and stories.Blondi Blathershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15656970490122824720noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14874528.post-51781951126494274902012-08-11T14:24:50.692-02:302012-08-11T14:24:50.692-02:30Takes me back to Hamilton and a Tavern I worked in...Takes me back to Hamilton and a Tavern I worked in as a waitress. Don't remember the name. Was it the Cedar Tavern or am I thinking of the Cedar Bar in New York where I hung out for a while? The new dishwasher was a short heavy Polish [undoubtedly Jewish, related to the owner of the Tavern] woman who kept her head in the sink and never spoke although her face said plenty. I was a young dumb small town kid [with kids of my own] who asked about the number on her arm. <br />I hope she learned to smile again.Betty Bishophttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10552340264000998419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14874528.post-89580470835598576372012-08-07T14:16:30.587-02:302012-08-07T14:16:30.587-02:30They don't make bosses like that any more. Although they were cousins you would think they came from different planets. I am loving this story and I am in that office beside you feeling the coolness and the comfort at the same time.Grannymarhttp://grannymar.com/blognoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14874528.post-11772158030122109912012-08-07T13:05:25.437-02:302012-08-07T13:05:25.437-02:30i was surprised too and have sense of bitter-sweet...i was surprised too and have sense of bitter-sweetnessCorvusCorax12https://www.blogger.com/profile/02705986279180729268noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14874528.post-40828099668633538972012-08-07T12:40:36.904-02:302012-08-07T12:40:36.904-02:30Ah! Recent cuts have not made things easy and some shows I like are now gone. Sad. But CBC forever!!! :)))Carolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16487872520377988070noreply@blogger.com
