The Real Thing!

No, it's not that toxic sludge of bottled sugared tap water I'm talking.

I just thought to share this photo I took yesterday out in a community called Gaskiers about 30KM from where I live.

Sometimes there is the confluence of three amazing blues in one day - barely a cloud in the sparking blue sky and this rare incredible blue fog rolls in, admiring itself in
the denim blue of the ocean.

The clothesline was such a bonus in this shot. I'm thinking of adding it (with appropriate ditty) to my greeting card line.

A Second Helping, Please.

That Blue Pie b’y, cut her up with a knife
And serve her on them white plates
With yer white napkins on the side of her.
Then slurp her down yer gullet hard and fast
And she’ll fix whatever ails ya.

Today, as the sun stays with us until nearly 8.00p.m., I take this picture from my porch and humbly write in praise of blue.

Spring, she has sprung.

Visionary

There’s a clarity to the air here this morning that's like Vick’s Vapo Rub. I took a series of pics outside in my PJs from my deck. It’s not like it’s cold, it’s above zero after all. It's more like you want to drink the air in so deep and so long so that it could fix whatever ails you.

With me, it’s an annoying left eye problem where sometimes my vision goes so blurry as to render me almost blind in that eye. Now I know why others don’t report such things. Dreaded fear of the all important driver’s licence being yanked.

I do have an appointment with an eye surgeon on Monday, referred to him by my eye doctor as he said my eyes needed a specialist's evaluation.

However, I will probably join the ranks of the secretive and not mention the episodic blindness and let him do the analysis based on examination only.

Getting away from it all

I took the photo from my deck and I got to thinking about the new house in the middle of it and wondering if he ever took a picture from his front porch.

It’s odd isn’t it? The fact I am someone else’s view. My old saltbox house across the bay is a feature in the vista from his fancy double decker “cabin”.

They say he’s a townie lawyer, this fellow who spent the money and built his dream getting-away-from-it-all. Though he doesn’t escape much looks like. For now and again I point the old binocs his way and I've yet to see a car in the curlicue driveway.

Then again he might have gone completely fancy and built himself some underground parking. You just never know, so I’ve been told, with these fancy lawyers and their townie ways coming to the outports now and again to escape from it all. If they can spare the time.
