I MUST STAY DRUNK ON WRITING SO REALITY DOES NOT DESTROY ME.
Not something I could listen to for very long, but I did listen a bit and imagined rows of little Irish dancers all kicking up together, forming a cross and dancing around in a circle then reforming all the while never missing a step.
Oh Mary... you had me 1234567,123,123 - ing round the room! And me a South Dublin Prod! ( although born a Protestant my Dad was a fierce republican and argued for a United Ireland with our more unionist relatives till he died. And brought us up to be the same ) Paddy Maloney came into the College of Art one night when we were occupying it in 1969 and played, sitting on a high stool, for hours. I did a quick water colour of him and I wish I could find it now. So many memories... just from one piece of music. Thank you isn’t a big enough word Mary. xxx
