Screen Sucking
OK.
So there's bad screen sucking - Perez Hilton anyone? (Guilty, guilty!)
There's, like, not so bad, but not so good either, screen sucking - Stumble, Facebook, Bore Me, etc.
And then there's the Rolls Royce, the creme-de-la-creme so to speak, of screen sucking which has now been expanded to include subjects along with the old familiar word definitions.
It's almost virtuous. For every correct answer 20 grains of rice are donated to the UN programme to end world hunger.
Go on, try it, it's much better than before.
I scored really, really well on identifying the famous artists.

This is far too addictive! Particularly when you look at it in work hours...
ReplyDeletewell there goes the productive afternoon at work I had planned :-)
ReplyDeleteHmmmm - English Grammar was useful - I didn't agree with a couple of the answers though (contrary cus that I am!) Managed 2,500 grains though. Not sure what that amount would look like- probably not a lot.
ReplyDeleteI'll be back for a try at something else later. :-)
I did the Italian one and got them all right so I've donated 1720 grains of rice. Aren't I a good boy!
ReplyDeleteI think I'll wait for a while and see who the biggest, ahem, sucker is!

Luckily I didn't get it as an obssessive compulsive disorderly like me needs to be careful!
ReplyDeleteI am very uncomfortable with this. For god's sake, let's all get out our wallets and just make a donation.
ReplyDeleteYes, I've been sucked into that before. This time I'm going to resist.
ReplyDeleteHow can you be uncomfortable with it, Irene? Surely, those who want to get out their wallets and make a donation can do so. Those who want to play a diverting and educational word game - which also happens to donate rice at the same time (if it really does) - can do that. Where's the harm? Eh?

ReplyDeleteI just don't start when I have a busy day!

ReplyDeleteBut the thing is, we forget, so we don't. This shakes us up a little oout of our sangfroid, surely?
