A brief update as I've been flying back and forth with this move of mine:
I will post in more detail but it looks very much like Toyota are being:
(1)Totally honest and apologetic with me in what happened
(2)A new car is on its way to me to replace the new one I have
(3)It has got all the features I had in my old car + +
So like Granny said: the proof of the pudding is in the eating of it.
I will update once I've got the new ride.
And seriously, their honesty blew me out of the water.
I just might be ready to kiss and makeup and abandon the divorce papers.
so pleased to hear it and to see your post as I've been worrying about you. Good Luck - with the car and the move :)
ReplyDeleteYAY!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that this is being taken care of by Toyota. It is appalling that you were treated so poorly in the first place. Having driven a Toyota of some sort for the last 35 years I am happy to hear that they are treating you better.
ReplyDeleteExcellent news!
ReplyDeleteYou give me my early morning smile.
ReplyDeleteHang in there - like me...
I am not at all surprised. Toyota are like that all over the world. Local franchisees may cause problems, but the company if approached will take care of things pronto.

ReplyDeleteI've been able to resolve some tangled matters, too. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteOh good show WWW! Good for Toyota too - I hope they send the local individual who caused your problems on a refresher course in customer service!
ReplyDeleteOh what a relief to read this welcome news! I've been worrying about you and this wretched car business. So glad resolution is on its way!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are getting the car you want.
ReplyDeleteSounds like good news. Sounds like the obnoxious salesman has been put in his place and the higher-ups have intervened to give you what you actually wanted.
ReplyDeleteYeah!! Now to sell the house to a multi millionaire who will also buy the Umbrella! The internet is a wonderful place if used properly isn't it?!
ReplyDeleteIf this Toyota car resolution happens my faith in humanity will be rewarded, at least in Toyota as I, too, presently drive my first one of that make. Hope the house and move will go well.
ReplyDeleteHurrah! Victory! Standing up so strongly when you've been so brought down by the noxious process is nothing short of heroic. And you did it! Enjoy that air-con my friend.
ReplyDeleteI know so well how hard it is to make decisions about where to expend our energies and which fights to let go. It sounds as if you chose the right fight to fight. I wish you hadn't needed to do that.
ReplyDeleteSuch happy news M. It was well worth approaching Toyota direct. xxxx
ReplyDeletehappy for you
ReplyDeletethings are looking up :)
