I MUST STAY DRUNK ON WRITING SO REALITY DOES NOT DESTROY ME.
A little of both perhaps: you choose it and it choose you. And yes, I know well how beautiful it is. When you get the chance (if you haven't done it already), go to Corner Brook and take a drive along the beautiful Humber Valley, through Corner Brook and all the way down the bay to Lark Harbour. It's gorgeous! And so many places to hike.ReplyDelete
You can smell the peace and hear nature's chorus. Enjoy!ReplyDelete

Thank you for stopping by Ms Graysea...haven't been able to reply until now due to computer issues.
I just love your blog!
PS. I meant to comment on the Newfoundlanders who settled here. I have come in contact with so many throughout my life, but one, in particular, has stayed with me since I was a young married woman, and new mother. She lived in a sweet little house behind mine, a single, very hard working, close to the vest person, but so giving and she helped me in many ways. She had an incredible green thumb, and had an ever-blooming supply of African violets and gardenias in a lovely south bay window of her wood-stove heated kitchen. She was a housekeeper for several local families and had a huge vegetable garden, as well. I loved her a lot. She talked about the hardscrabble life in her homeland, but she missed her family a lot. I think she sent a lot of money "home".....These days I often see the obits of the last of these settlers and they take me back.ReplyDelete
Well they've convinced me! However when funds permit, you'd be first on my list of tourist attractions! LxReplyDelete
It does appear magical. Like Poet Laura-eate, you've convinced me where my extra funds should be spent when I have them.ReplyDelete
It does look magical: a very effective ad. The geographical similarities with Ireland struck me too.ReplyDelete
