I am snowbound, at least for today. Confined to barracks and happy about it. I suppose it's a good test of how content you are with yourself and your life and your home. And home is where my heart is.
I amused myself with the camera today.
I do like this shot of the outside of my office window, the tree laden, the deck railing puffed up like a marshmallow, the sea a grey mystery beyond:
And she comes back! My ladybird friend! Usually it's February she shows up in my office but with the days of odd unseasonal heat, she's early this year. Looking for dinner. And getting it.
Yes, I agree. The best test of how well you get along with yourself is to ne snowbound inside your little house and to not get cabin fever. I think the older we get, the less likely we are to develop it having gained huge amounts of patience and self insight. I am planning on having one of those days this coming Sunday when I will not have to work and all my chores and errands will be done. I'll pretend I am snowed in. xox

ReplyDeleteI totally agree. Our longevity on the planet can give us an ease and comfort missing in our formative and middle years.
I love my wee house and love being inside it.

We both had days like that yesterday. Today the view is more drippingly miserable with the dulled greens and receding snow.paths and roads around me have slushy snow, so I am happy to hibernate for a few more days.
ReplyDeleteI love days like this
ReplyDeleteand my cottage has a number of
ladybugs. Told they bring good luck....
If you count how many dots the ladybug has on her back, it will tell you how many grandchildren you will get.

ReplyDeleteWe had quite a snowfall and a bit of wind today blowing it around. Loads of snow on the bay, I must get a shot of it.
Stay indoors and safe!!
