Blog Friends
Over the years I've made a few good friends through this blog. It's extraordinary this world of the internetz and webz isn't it?
I've exchanged personal emails, offered and been given support and meeting some in the flesh too has only affirmed the on-line friendships. In every single case. Remarkable that, yeah?
Yesterday, in the mail, I received a gift of handmade soaps from a good blog friend in the USA. No further identity will I provide to maintain her privacy.
Beautiful soaps. Something I wouldn't normally buy as they would be a bit out of the old league, price wise.
I'm thinkin' I must knit her some Newfoundland dishcloths.
Thank you lovely lady!

Lovely gift... Yes, blogging is truly wonderful. Anyone who has really tried it, knows it. :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment on this post of mine....
I'm very opinionated myself. But in what I call "Pretty Blog Land," where I mostly bump up against women, who can take offense, I try to mostly keep them to myself. This was the case, in the issue I spoke of, in my post.
Poor lady was worried that she had offended anyone, by what she posted. -sigh- I couldn't let her feel this way. So I apologized and removed my comment. Without her requesting it.
But, it kind of caught me up short. I figured it was a nudge, from the Universe, to do a little soul searching. :-)
But I'm still blogging and reading and commenting, as you can see! ,-)
Happy Autumn,

"Here there be musing" blog
ah Tessa it's a learning curve. I've been amazed at some of the controversy and also some of the support some of my post have generated.
ReplyDeleteBut I always speak the truth. That's what's important.

I've liked every blog friend I've met in real life. I think it has always felt like a natural extension of the community on-line. Non-bloggers, seems like, don't always understand how that works.
ReplyDeleteSo very true SAW, non-bloggers don't get it.
