Bea Arthur Dead at 86
I was saddened to read of Bea Arthur's death today at the age of 86.
I loved her in "Maude" a ground-breaking feminist show and her timing and drollness were impeccable in "The Golden Girls".
Thanks for the memories, Bea. I always harboured a secret dream that you were my mother in a former life.

ReplyDeleteRIP Bea. You left lots of laughs behind - thank you!
watching that clip brought back memories of my mother's laughter. The Golden Girls were a great favourite with her.

I still watch the golden girls every sat on digital tv, when i went to the backlot on my trip to disneyworld i was so excited to see the outside of their house (how sad is that). I never even knew of the series Maude (it musn't have reached these shores) but i will now scour the internet.
ReplyDeleteThanks for that.
Hi Lizzie and welcome!
ReplyDeleteThere is very little Maude on the web but here is one episode that is so brilliant. Maude in the shrink's office.
