I MUST STAY DRUNK ON WRITING SO REALITY DOES NOT DESTROY ME.
It always amazes me how many people are so keen to limit their own and other people's lives in the name of "common sense" and "realism". The joy of masochism....
They're more than half way to getting what they seem to want already. Perhaps the faster they get the rest - in full - the faster they will realise what they've done. Romney may be the nasty medicine they need - sad to say.
We all thought Obama would change things, he hasn't. Here in Nova Scotia we have an NDP government that we all thought would change things, it hasn't. I believe that change doesn't come from changing a government, the forces that a liberal party or leader are up against are too powerful. Americans are really not much different from us, they want much of the same things and they aren't getting them. Neither are we. Harper is evil, but a different leader isn't going to change things.
Anyone who still believes that the people with the power are the ones out in front that we vote for is naive. This is NOT what most Americans want this is what the prevailing power structure behind the scenes of (mostly) MEN want...Canada is lagging behind, but once you people get the same evil doers in control of your country and start raping IT there won't be much difference between us I'm afraid. I totally agree with you Annie, I wonder how we can best change these things? I get tired just thinking about it. Quite the labyrinth to undo:(
It's amazing what people will allow to happen to them. We are more like sheep and lemmings than anything else. Why is that, I wonder? There have been warnings about the current state of affairs for years in books like Peak Everything, The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America, Nation of Sheep. But we seem to be so busy just keeping our heads above water, we don't even see the sharks. (I'm practicing mixing my metaphors.)
makes you wonder..i don't even want to get stared on our government
ReplyDeleteBless them. The jobs are exported to us here!
ReplyDeletePraise the Lord and pass the Soma! I couldn't be more disappointed in my countrymen.

ReplyDeleteYep! That's what they tell us we want.
